Plan What You Want To Achieve
How often do you find yourself thinking about the future, what your goals are, and your dream of being rich? If you are anything like me, success is something I think about every day.
Having had your vision of the future, how often do you set out a long-term plan to be able to achieve it? A betting man would say the odds are never.
When you compare how entrepreneurs and the average person think, this really highlights the differences.
It’s our attitude, determination, and commitment that defines whether we will remain a slave to money or make money work for us.
1) Rich People Think Big. Poor People Think Small.
In the pursuit of success, it's important to focus on the big picture and not get bogged down in the small details that bring insignificant rewards.
There’s no limit to your dreams so why not spend time formulating a plan that provides steppingstones towards your goal?
2) Rich People Focus On Opportunities. Poor People Focus On Obstacles.
Are you a pessimist or an optimist?
I found it incredibly hard to master positive thought. Once I became aware of my self-critical, self-destructive and defeatist attitude, it amazed me how many times it would happen each day.
Human nature makes us avoid anything that puts us into a vulnerable situation.
Unfortunately, anticipating vulnerability or failure is the most effective way of killing any hope of success.
The “What if?” mentality sets people up for failure before they have even tried.
3) Rich People Admire Other Rich And Successful People. Poor People Resent Rich And Successful People.
Personally, this is not something I have witnessed among people I know, but there are several YouTube videos I’ve seen of people attacking luxury or sports cars. I can only assume this reaction stems from jealousy.
The belief that successful people don't understand the struggles of ordinary people fuels hatred towards them in many cases.
The truth is, there are countless millionaires who started with nothing and know exactly what it took to get to where they are today.
Some people feel they are owed something without putting in the initial hard work.
I’m not aware of a single successful person (excluding those who have inherited success or wealth) who hasn’t made sacrifices in order to reach their goals.
I intentionally surround myself and learn from people who have this work ethic.
4) Rich People Are Willing To Promote Themselves And Their Value. Poor People Think Negatively About Selling And Promotion.
Life experience, expertise, and skills are always in demand, and people will pay handsomely if it helps to solve a problem.
Those who lack confidence in their abilities or do not realise what they have to offer, believe they have no value.
It’s a widely acknowledged truth that each person possesses something of value that others will recognise and appreciate.
Success is most satisfying when it is achieved while doing something you love or are passionate about.

5) Rich People Choose To Get Paid Based On Results. Poor People Choose To Get Paid Based On Time.
How people earn their money can significantly differ between those who are financially secure and those who are not.
Successful individuals often choose to receive payment based on the outcomes of their work, while most will opt for payment structures that are based on the amount of time they put in.
People who say they deserve a high hourly wage are unaware of how the real world works.
Everything is based on the outcome. If you work for 1 hour or 10 years on a product or service that will help millions, they will not care how much time you put into creating it.
All they want to know is how much they will need to pay to fix their problem.
6) Rich People Manage Their Money Well. Poor People Mismanage Their Money.
I have always wondered why the UK’s school curriculum doesn’t include some fundamental life skills, like managing one’s finances.
Navigating the peaks and troughs of life’s expenses heavily relies on understanding banking, budgeting, savings and investments.
We frequently hear about young people struggling with a mountain of debt due to a lack of financial literacy.
There is a never-ending source of material providing guidance on managing finances, but few seek it out until their situation has already spiralled out of control.
7) Rich People Have Their Money Work Hard For Them. Poor People Work Hard For Their Money.
It’s a mystery to me why children are not encouraged to develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
Kids buying candy and soft drinks at the store and then selling them for a small profit to their classmates is basic business acumen, but all too often schools scold this behaviour.
Seeing others who appear to work less but earn more brings out the inevitable frustration and jealousy in some people.
What’s not considered is the focus, commitment, training, education, determination, and sacrifice it took to get to that level of success.
The person who focuses on what they are good at or passionate about, who learns everything they can about it, and becomes an authority will be able to help others find solutions to their problems.
Having reached this point, it’s not about the number of hours you work each week but the value of what you are providing.
8) Rich People Constantly Learn And Grow. Poor People Think They Already Know.
Individuals who have achieved success are self-assured and capable of leading both themselves and others.
They have their own unique perspective and are committed to bringing their vision to life on a daily basis.
A commitment to self-improvement and building on their knowledge is the perpetual cycle of ‘learn and grow’.
Additionally, they are acutely aware of their limitations and do not waste time on tasks that do not align with their strengths or preferences.
Making a shift to have the mindset of an entrepreneur rather than being held back by the poor person mentality isn’t easy.
If there is no fire in your belly, no passion to share with others then it’s likely a future of mediocrity and financial insecurity awaits you.
Conclusion
If you:

- are seeking an opportunity,
- have admiration for people who achieve success,
- are willing to promote what you have to offer,
- want to be paid for the results you achieve,
- are seeking the best ways of managing your money,
