A Happy Life
I hope you had or are having a great day.
I came across an article and thought I'd share the questions, and my answers, with you. Here is the link:
28 Powerful Questions For A Happy Life
If you feel inclined, it would be great to read your answers to these questions. Here we go ...
I have a fear of failure but I have been facing that fear and I am embracing not being perfect in everything I do. The fear I had of sharing something that had mistakes, e.g. a video or a blog, would result in extreme procrastination and an inordinate amount of time spent getting it to a standard I was happy with.
I am usually a calculated person and have avoided risky situations in the past. However, since being made redundant I took the risk of subscribing to an online marketing course to explore the possibility of setting up my own online business.
I have never had my own business before and I had no experience or knowledge of marketing so it really got me out of my comfort zone.
The course has made me realise that I can achieve whatever I want.
I am very determined to solve a problem.
Recently I had been trying to solve a problem with my website. It didn't seem to matter how many times I went through training videos, it just wasn't working how it should. In the end, I spent almost three days solving the problem.
I get a great sense of achievement and satisfaction when I can solve something myself.
1 - Family
2 - Friendship
3 - Having fun
4 - My health (but need to cherish it more!)
5 - Myself
Less than 18 months is my best guess.
Going back to my fear of failure, this had always been a challenge for me. I would always consider if something is too risky and rarely what the benefits would be of just doing it.
I still have some improvements to make but I am much more inclined to focus on the reward now.
I would still say that my passion eludes me but I felt the most alive when I made a trip to the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls in Venezuela.
Taking a longboat for 4 hours up the Amazon River and then a further 2 hours walking through the rainforest before reaching the falls was the most exhausting but amazing journey. Staying in the rainforest overnight was an experience but I cannot say that I would repeat it any time soon.
Anyone that loves music and is not afraid to be the first person on the dancefloor. I also connect with people who have a great sense of humour.
Music, dancing, having fun and joking around are a huge part of what makes life worth living.
Hmmm. This is a great question and I'm assuming the child can understand what I am saying.
I would say,
"never regret anything that you do, only the things you don't"
and
"never be afraid to fail but be persistent and consistent and you will achieve anything you put your mind to".
Without a doubt, the worst is never trying.
I think this all boils down to the way we are brought up. If the 'norm' is to study, get a job, mortgage, family and then retire, life can become 'groundhog day'.
It is great if you love your job but it is a fact that the vast majority do not. How many people feel guilty for doing something that they enjoy but neglecting another part of their life to do it?
It takes a certain amount of courage and facing your fears to concentrate on what makes life enjoyable rather than what most regard as necessary.
Going back to the 9-5.
I am working towards that utopia at the moment. Being an entrepreneur with no set working hours and no set location to work from gives me freedom and happiness.
I do not believe there is anything in my life that I would not do again. What I would have liked is to discover things much earlier in my life. I used to talk about all the things I was going to do but now I am much more about doing them rather than talking about them.
My loving and supportive family.
The president and the ruling party of Venezuela. With them removed, my wife's parents and extended family have the chance to get their lives back.
Up until I started the online course, I would say that I had been influenced by the world. My confidence had always been blocking my progress through life and career.
I am most certainly doing what I believe in. There are people who have said I am wasting my time but they are usually the ones that are just settling for what life brings them.
Giving my family the best.
Interesting question and I would say that it is 50/50 for me.
Globetrotter (best I could come up with ... lol)
I have always treated others as I would like to be treated. I have lost touch with some friends but I would never deny help/comfort to any friend past or present.
It takes a lot to make me upset. I cannot say that I have noticed any change.
This question really made me think. My family is the priority so to have a job I enjoy but working longer hours would still make me unhappy because I would not get to spend much time with my daughter.
None, unless it could adversely affect those I love.
Nothing but the opportunity to experience something new and learn from it.
Exciting, experimental and spontaneous.
My story.
